Rayo Vallecano and Pep Chavarría have signed their union until the end of the 2030 season. A long-term renewal that guarantees the Vallecanos a left-back of First Division level for the next five campaigns.

What happened?

The Catalan player arrived in Vallecas in the summer of 2022 from Real Zaragoza for 1.5 million euros.

Why is it important for Rayo Vallecano?

The Rayo's bet on Chavarría paid off from January 2024, when he started to be more and more important in the lineups. A month later, Iñigo Pérez arrived on the bench and his level was consolidated for First Division.

What comes next?

In the last campaign, Chavarría played a total of 36 games, two of them in the Cup. With 2,583 minutes, he was the fourth most used player by Iñigo Pérez in the League. | Season | Games | Minutes | | --- | --- | --- | | 2024-2025 | 36 | 2,583 | Rayo Vallecano has secured the continuity of a key player for the next seasons.
