Rayo Vallecano has completed the sale of Senegalese defender Nobel Mendy to Premier League side Hull City for €20 million, plus an additional €5 million in add-ons. Who is Nobel Mendy?
Mendy arrived in Spanish football in 2023 from Paris FC, initially joining Betis Deportivo. Betis exercised their buyout clause for under €1M before loaning him to Rayo Vallecano last season, where he made 28 appearances, scored twice, and established himself as a key defensive player. Rayo then bought 80% of his rights for €2.8M.
