Situation at the Estadio Vallecas

The decision was made after a technical report revealed 'surprising and devastating' results, leading the regional government to take measures to ensure public safety.
Leganés Stadium - Estadio Butarque
Rayo Vallecano's first LaLiga match of the season will be against Deportivo Alavés on August 20th, and it will be played at the Estadio Butarque in Leganés. CD Leganés has agreed to host the game under certain minimum guarantees to protect the interests of both the club and its supporters.
Rayo Vallecano played only one match at the Estadio Butarque last season due to issues with the pitch at the Estadio Vallecas.
Possible Solutions
While Rayo Vallecano's president, Raúl Martín Presa, remains keen on staging the match at the Estadio Vallecas as originally planned, the current state of the stadium does not permit that. The Community of Madrid has announced plans for a complete renovation of the Estadio Vallecas, which will include increasing its capacity to 18,500 spectators and constructing a new stand.
CD Leganés will allocate part of the revenue generated by the Rayo Vallecano match to an initiative benefiting their own supporters.
